A mushroom plant in Golden, Co Tipperary has suspended its operations after a member of its staff tested positive for Covid-19.
Walsh Mushrooms Golden says that the staff member tested positive for the virus while in self-isolation. The company says that close contacts of the staff member were tested, which resulted in "further positive cases".
It says that it is working with the HSE and all relevant authorities in contact tracing and the testing of all staff. It also says that the plant will be deep cleaned during the temporary closure.
