The Top Gun sequel starring Tom Cruise, 57, has had it's release date postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Paramount's Top Gun:Maverick was due to hit movie theatres on June 24, but has been pushed back to December 23.
The Top Gun sequel comes over 30 years since the original movie hit cinemas across the world. In the comeback, actor Tom Cruise assumes his old character Pete “Maverick” Mitchell and returns to train Top Gun pilots for a new mission.
Among the star studded cast is the original Iceman actor Val Kilmer. Actor Miles Teller has also joined the cast as Lt. Bradley Bradshaw, the son of Maverick's late best friend Nick "Goose" Bradshaw.
