Total number of people claimed by Covid-19 in West Lothian reaches 100

Two deaths in West Lothian care homes in the last week have taken the total number of people in the county claimed by the Covid-19 pandemic to 100.The Lothian wide total rose by five in the last week from 720 to 725, with two deaths in care homes and three in hospitals in the NHS Lothian area.The latest figures were revealed on Wednesday by National Records for Scotland for the week up to July 12 (week 28).Statistics also show for the first time that those of working age who have been victims have worked in similar, manual work.They also show that the outbreak has been worse in larger urban areas - as evidenced by grim weekly figures throughout the Spring showing the worst areas affected as being across the Central  Belt of Scotland from.
