UK coronavirus hospital deaths rise by 13 as total number of fatalities hits 33,945

The UK coronavirus hospital death toll has risen by 13 as the total number of fatalities reaches 33,945. In England nine more deaths from Covid-19 have been reported and four further deaths have been recorded in Wales.

In both Scotland and Northern Ireland there have been no new deaths of people who have tested positive for the virus reported today.

Yesterday the UK coronavirus hospital death toll rose by 14 to a total of 33,932. England had recorded a further 12 hospital deaths, Wales saw an increase of two deaths and both Northern Ireland and Scotland reported no new fatalities.

Last Friday there were 16 UK fatalities reported from Covid-19 in hospitals. The previous Friday, July 17, reported 17 lives lost in hospitals to the disease.
