UK places worst hit by coronavirus as rates soar - find out where your area ranks

More than 80 per cent of local areas in the UK have seen coronavirus cases soar, according to the latest statistics. Of the 377 local authority areas, 314 (83 per cent) have seen a week-on-week rise in Covid-19 rates, 62 (16pc) have seen a fall and one is unchanged.

While the south-west had some of the lowest case rates during the pandemic last year, Torridge in Devon now has the highest rate in the UK.
