The US Treasury and the IRS have begun shipping out nearly 4 million prepaid debit cards as the economy looks to bounce back from the coronavirus pandemic.
The Economic Impact Payments (EIPs) card replaces government cheques and allows recipients to make purchases, get cash from in-network ATMs and transfer funds to their personal bank account for free.
The card can be used at "any retail location where Visa is accepted and provides protections against fraud and loss," said Secretary Steven T.
