The UK is still under strict coronavirus lockdown, which means there are only a limited number of reasons why we should be leaving our homes.
But one of the things that has been stressed is the importance of keeping active. The government has said that you can leave your home once a day for exercise.
The NHS specified that you can leave your home for “one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household”.
Getting moving is good for your mental health, but can also stop us gaining too much weight while in lockdown. Walking for weight loss is a great way to burn fat – especially belly fat which can increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes.
