World War Two veteran Captain Tom Moore has now raised more than £8million for the NHS - and so many people have flocked to donate money that his JustGiving page crashed.

The 99-year-old is raising funds for the NHS by walking 100 lengths of his garden while in quarantine before celebrating his 100th birthday on April 30.

Mr Moore, who lives with his family in Bedfordshire, had hoped to raise £1,000 for the NHS when he started the challenge last week.

But as he smashed his target way before his birthday, he said he was "completely out of this world" that people have donated so much.
