Captain Tom Moore's incredible fundraising appeal has topped £30m - on the day the inspirational war hero celebrates his 100th birthday.
He raised the staggering sum in aid of NHS Charities Together by walking 100 laps of his garden in Bedfordshire. In honour of his achievement, he was given a flypast this morning, with Hurricane and Spitfire planes taking to the skies in his honour.
He has also been appointed as an honorary Colonel to mark his 100th birthday by the Queen. Captain Tom was also made an honorary member of the England cricket team.
