(FOX 9) - A 24-year-old woman who was stabbed while tubing down the Apple River on Saturday is sharing her story from a hospital bed.

Ryhley Mattison suffered a punctured lung as well as an injured diaphragm and stomach in the July 30 attack on the Apple River in Wisconsin that left three other people injured and 17-year-old Isaac Schuman dead.

Mattison had to be resuscitated when she arrived at Regions Hospital in St. Paul last weekend, where she survived surgery to put some of her insides back together.

She spoke to FOX 9 about the incident and her recovery (watch the video above). Mattison admits her memory of the event is fuzzy as she was drinking with about 10 friends, but does recall a commotion that drew her group's attention to an older man.

DALLAS, Texas - The murder trial of Yaser Said will continue in a Dallas courtroom today.The ex-boyfriend of Said's daughter Amina is expected to take the stand when testimony begins at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.Investigators say Yaser Said murdered his two teenage daughters in 2008 in so-called ‘honor killings’ for dating outside their faith.Said disappeared simultaneously with the girls' murders and eluded police and the FBI for 12 years before he was finally captured.If convicted, he will face life in prison.READ MORE: 'Honor Killings' Trial: Sisters feared their dad would kill them days before their murders, prosecutors claimProsecutors described a father on trial for murdering his two teenage daughters as "controlling and possessive." Their former teacher says they told her they were running away and knew their dad would try to kill them.In the first day of the trial, Said pleaded not guilty to the murder charges through his lawyer.In opening statements, Prosecutors claimed the evidence shows Said murdered them, citing a 9-1-1 call from one of the victims claiming they were being attacked by their father."This is a case about a man possessed with possession and control," said Dallas County Prosecutor Lauren Black.

Police: Woman killed during barbecue as drive-by shooting erupts outside Phildelphia home
PHILADELPHIA - A summer barbecue turned deadly Tuesday night after police say several shots were fired into a crowd in one Philadelphia neighborhood.Police say people were enjoying a barbecue on the 1800 block of Harrison when a car approached and a suspect opened fire around 8:14 p.m.The suspect continued shooting back at the crowd of people as it drove off, according to police.One woman was reportedly hit in the back as she sat on the porch. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker, who was driving in the area at the time of shooting, says he heard screaming and rushed over to the scene."An innocent person trying to do the right, enjoy the weather, enjoy a barbecue, and now instead of a joyous time we’ll be planning a funeral," Walker said.Police are checking surveillance footage in the area as they investigate the shooting.

Police say a man is dead after he was shot multiple times in the chest on Tuesday night in West Philadelphia. PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating two separate shootings that left a man dead in West Philadelphia and a woman dead in Frankford on Tuesday night.At around 7:31 p.m., police say they responded to the 5400 block of Pearl Street where they found a 30-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Authorities say the victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:44 p.m. Officials say they also responded to the 1800 block of Harrison Street at around 8:14 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA - A law firm has filed a lawsuit against Wawa Inc., the owner of a strip mall and a security company, in connection with the fatal Valentine's Day stabbing of a beloved Philadelphia man. Kline & Specter filed the lawsuit on behalf of the mother of Roger Segal, 49, who died after being stabbed in the parking lot on South Columbus Boulevard in South Philadelphia on February 14. A police source told FOX 29 that video surveillance showed Segal entering the Wawa around 2 a.m. before returning to his car with food 20 minutes after. Police later responded to the location after a customer reported a man might be sleeping in his car, but when officers arrived on scene, they found Segal stabbed once in the stomach. According to authorities, Segal's car engine was still running and his foot was still pressed firmly on the brake. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced the arrest of 55-year-old Walter Robbins in connection with the fatal stabbing months later in May.
