Woolworths and Coles reinstate shopping limits to avoid panic buying

9 News, Woolworths confirmed customers were limited to only buying two items of toilet paper, hand sanitiser, paper towel, flour, sugar, pasta, mince, UHT milk, eggs and rice - all due to a "recent demand surge".

Coles stores have also re-introduced restrictions on popular household items, including just one packet of toilet paper and paper towels.

As previously reported on LifeStyle, Coles' restrictions began in the state of Victoria, but now they have been applied to stores in Lavington, Albury and Deniliquin in NSW.
