YouTuber JackSepticEye raises $200,000 to fight coronavirus in less than two hours

JackSepticEye and his fans have raised more than $200,000 (£160,000) in his coronavirus charity live stream in less than an hour.

Keep going guys! The YouTube gamer, who is well-known for his epic charity live streams, is raising money for the #HopeFromHome campign on World Health Day, to support frontline workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

Setting a goal of $300,000 (£240,000) for the hours-long stream, the gamer – real name Sean McLoughlin – was stunned to get a third of the way there in less than an hour.

Viewers went on to get the total to $200,000 (£160,000 in the next 30 minutes. Throughout the stream, he’s set to join forces with some of his gamer pals, with fans being able to donate.
