PHILADELPHIA - Around 150 people were gathered inside a Nicetown restaurant for an illegal pop-up party early Saturday morning when gunfire erupted that killed one man and sent five others to the hospital, police said.
Officers responded to the Hot Pot Cuisine restaurant around 4 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Police said a 29-year-old man was shot 14 times and taken to Temple Hospital by police where he died.
Two women and two men were driven to Temple Hospital by private vehicles with gunshot wounds to the lower body. Another man who was also shot in the leg was taken to Temple Hospital by medics.All five victims are expected to recover, according to police.Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw called the deadly shooting.
