Murder charges previously filed against two Black teenagers for firing the gunshots that prompted the officers to shoot were also dropped Tuesday, according to a news release from the Delaware County District Attorney’s office.Each officer was charged with 10 counts of reckless endangerment and one count of manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter, according to the charging documents.Court records show all three men had their preliminary arraignments Tuesday morning and each was released on unsecured $500,000 bail.

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut - A new, wearable device may help alert you if you are exposed to COVID-19. Researchers at the Yale School of Public Health developed an easy-to-clip-on device that can help detect low levels of SARS-COV-2 and subsequently whether a person has been exposed. According to the study, published Jan. 11 in a peer-reviewed online journal Environmental Science and Technology Letters, the device captures virus-laden aerosols that deposit on a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surface. The team tested the air sampler in a rotating drum, in which they generated aerosols containing a surrogate virus with similar properties to SARS-CoV-2.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police have released new video showing the moment a pair of gunmen opened fire in North Philadelphia and critically injuring a 31-year-old man. The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Monday  on the 600 block of North 13th Street. Police say the victim was walking down the block and stopped momentarily in a parking lot to talk to a friend. During his conversation, police say he heard gunshots coming from a nearby walkway and tried to run. The victim was shot a total of six times, suffering injuries to his back, shoulder and left arm.
