There are six new cases of COVID-19 detected in managed isolation facilities to report in New Zealand today. There are no new community cases.
All six cases were identified during routine testing around day 3 of their stay in managed isolation. One person arrived from the Netherlands via Singapore on 23 October, and four people arrived from India on 24 October.
We are seeking details of the sixth person’s arrival. Two previously reported cases are now considered to have recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 70.
Our total number of confirmed cases is now 1,593. Yesterday our laboratories completed 7,403 tests for COVID-19, bringing the total number of tests completed to date to 1,083,230.
