A drive-in cinema is coming to Manchester to screen family films during the coronavirus pandemic

A new drive-in cinema is heading to Manchester next week, allowing families to see hit films from the safety of their own cars.

The One Drive-In series will begin on Thursday March 26 at EventCity. It comes as cinemas and theatres across the country are forced to close to try and halt the spread of Covid-19.

One Drive-In has been created by One Agency in an attempt to bring some carefree fun to the city. There will be two family-friendly, feel-good screenings each day, ranging from U-certified through to 12As.

Films on the programme include Mary Poppins Returns, The Secret Life of Pets 2, and Toy Story 4. Families can also expect to see the live-action remake of The Lion King, Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, The Lego Movie: The Second Part,
