These are the rules in place for Manchester's parks during the lockdown

Manchester residents are being reminded that they should only visit parks that are local to them over the Easter weekend. Government restrictions remain in place to contain the spread of coronavirus.

While people are allowed to leave their homes to exercise once a day, they should not travel to visit a park and should not meet up with anyone from outside their household.

And Manchester Council has issued a warning that gatherings or more than two people in parks of other public spaces is banned, unless you are with members of the same household.

When using parks, people should follow social distancing advice and stay two metres aware from others. Greater Manchester Police have the powers to disperse gatherings and issue fines if necessary,
