Aldi delivery boxes sell out in minutes - but shoppers are not entirely happy

Aldi's first ever attempt at food home delivery in the UK during the coronavirus lockdown proved so popular it sold out in minutes when it launched this morning.

But the popularity itself ended up causing frustrations for many shoppers. Aldi is offering 22 essential products including tinned soup, rice and pasta for £24.99 - with each food box also including antibacterial handwash and a four-pack of toilet roll.

Aldi wrote: "Getting to your local Aldi isn’t easy for every customer right now. "So, we’ve put together an Aldi Food Parcel and filled it with 22 food items and household products.
