Almost 3,300 dead of confirmed or suspected coronavirus across Scotland
Almost 3,300 people have died of confirmed or suspected coronavirus in Scotland.The figures, updated today by the National Records of Scotland (NRS), show that 3,213 deaths have now been officially recorded as of May 10.The weekly statistics account for all deaths registered in Scotland where Covid-19 is mentioned on the death certificate.Figures are different to those released daily during the Scottish Government’s press briefing from St Andrew’s House as they account for all suspected and probable cases of the virus in hospitals.The NRS shows there were 415 deaths relating to coronavirus between May 4 and May 10 – which is decrease of 110 on last week.A majority of deaths occurred in hospitals – 48% compared with 59% the week before.Aroun
