A chief police officer has sparked anger for making two 480-mile trips to his second home during the coronavirus lockdown. Eddie Wylie, the chief of British Transport Police in Scotland, made the trips from his flat in Glasgow to his family home in Holmfirth in Yorkshire.
While the BTP confirmed Wylie did make two trips to his second home, they said he didn't breach any lockdown rules, and that the journeys were justified for work reasons.
The Daily Record observed Wylie making a cross-border journey after a tip-off from a BTP whistleblower, who has also demanded an investigation by top brass.
