Apple could release a brand new iPhone today with a very wallet-friendly price tag, an industry insider has claimed. While the iPhone - expected to be called the iPhone 9 - was originally tipped to launch March 31, new leaks indicate that the smartphone will now be announced today.

Jon Prosser, an industry analyst, claims that the iPhone 9 will be unveiled on April 15 before going on sale on April 22. He tweeted: "Per an internal meeting yesterday, Apple is now preparing for an April release.
