This will allow those stranded away from their homes due to the lockdown to return to their families, says Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Guwahati: The Assam government will lift restrictions on movement of people within the state for three days from April 25 to allow those stranded away from their homes due to the lockdown to return to their families, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday.
The movement of people will be allowed based on the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the minister said at a press conference here.
Sarma, however, said this is not a "blanket permission but will be conditional and people can avail this only with the prior approval of deputy commissioners".
