Baptism in Brit park during coronavirus lockdown sparks fury

An apparent religious baptism in a public park in Birmingham amid coronavirus lockdown has been condemned by an eyewitness. Mum-of-two Alison Boyd, 49, was left “dumbfounded” when she witnessed a group taking part in a ritual in a lake in Kingshurst Park on Sunday afternoon.

Alison says she witnessed a woman being submerged in the waters of the park lake while a group chanted and cheered from the banks.

The gathering took place despite strict government guidelines stating that groups should be limited to two people or those of all the same household leaving the house at the same time.

Alison told Birmingham Live: "I looked at my other half and he looked and me and we were dumbfounded. "Why would they even be doing that in there?
