BBC boss hints EastEnders will introduce upsetting coronavirus storylines

BBC bosses have hinted that coroanvirus storylines will be introduced on EastEnders. The soap was brought to a standstill six weeks ago as the government announced lockdown plans, with the BBC deciding to halt production for the safety of the cast and crew.

In a bid to try and stop the show from going off air, bosses decided to reduce the weekly amount of episodes to just two so that they don't run out.

There is uncertainty over when EastEnders will resume filming, with lockdown measures set to be eased over the coming weeks.
