Coronavirus death toll in Greater Manchester's hospitals rises to over 1,600

A further 15 people have died in Greater Manchester's hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus. It means the total number of recorded deaths in the region's hospitals now stands at 1,613.

There have been four further deaths reported at both Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust in the last 24 hours.

At Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, the death toll has gone up by three. Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has recorded two further deaths.

At both Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, one further death has been recorded. The figures were released by NHS England.
