Coronation Street star Bill Roache has insisted that the soap will not be taken off air. ITV bosses have cut back the amount of episodes being shown per week from six to just three to keep Corrie on our screens for as long as possible.
There are fears that Corrie may be pulled from the schedule when episodes start to run out after production was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the legendary Ken Barlow actor has assured fans that there are around four months of new material to be shown. He also revealed the plan for if the unthinkable happens and producers do run out of episodes to air.
