Bill Roache has taken up meditation to get him through the lockdown. The Coronation Street legend – who has played Ken Barlow for 60 years – reveals the ancient practice has helped calm his nerves while he’s in isolation with his family.
He said: “I meditate to give myself quieter time, to keep my spirits up and be in contact with nice things – a calm and happy state. “It’s not unhappy at all.
Meditation, if you haven’t done it, is great. “To sit quietly and leave all your worries behind allows you to balance your breathing, to feel your heart. “It’s good for any form of stress or fear – and there’s a lot of that around. “The key to all this is that we’re keeping ourselves busy and relaxed, so it’s a helpful thing for us to do.” Bill, 87,
