Fairfax and Kensington is a high-end international recruitment agency based in South Kensington, London, and are the original posters of the job.

The company posted the live-in dog nanny position on LinkedIn about two weeks ago, but after local news outlets recently reported on it, the job applications have soared from 300 to over 2,000 in a span of a few days, George Dunn with Fairfax and Kensington, told FOX TV Stations. "This is the first role we’ve offered of its kind.

The salary connected to it is pretty unheard of," Dunn said, according to a New York Post report. "Even as a vet, you’d be struggling to earn that amount of money." The original job description, which has since been taken down from the Fairfax and Kensington website, detailed the responsibilities the desired live-in dog nanny should have which included providing "unparalleled care and attention" to the owners’ two dogs.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A woman has been charged with purposefully starting a fire that ripped through rowhomes in Atlantic City June 21, Atlantic County officials say.Investigators say 48-year-old Monica Parish used an accelerant to set several porches on fire on the 1500 block of Belfield Avenue.A total of six houses were destroyed, while 10 people were trapped and had to be rescued from their homes.RELATED: 10 rescued from 3-alarm Atlantic City rowhome blaze; 3 injured: officialsOfficials said three people were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.Firefighters fought the three-alarm blaze before bringing the fire under control.The Red Cross was called to help those in need.Parish is charged with aggravated arson and is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Man, 30, dies after he is shot in front of his home in Kensington, police say

KENSINGTON - A 30-year-old man was shot in the neck and head just feet from his home in Kensington and killed, as more gun violence plagues Philadelphia.The shooting happened Friday evening, just after 6 p.m., on the 200 block of East Ontario Street, officials said.Responding officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the neck and head. The man was just a few feet from his home, authorities said.MORE HEADLINES: They rushed him to Temple University Hospital where he died a short time after arrival.Police say no weapons have been found and no arrests have been made.

Rideshare driver laid to rest after he was shot by stray bullet and killed in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - A family is in mourning after a father of three was shot and killed by a stray bullet while driving for Uber in North Philadelphia.Friday, a mass and religious service was held for 34-year-old Michael Almonte a the church he attended, while police still search for whoever fired the fatal shot.Almonte’s priest, Reverend Roberto Gurrola, says the church is where Almonte spent most of his time and it was at the church his family gathered to mourn Almonte and lay him to rest, describing him as a loving father, husband and God-fearing man."He’s one of those persons that you would think God would protect him," Father Gurrola said.But, on the night of June 14th, the 34-year-old’s life was cut short while working for Uber. Almonte was driving a passenger on the 1300 block of Lehigh Avenue when a stray bullet went through the back windshield, through his seat and into the back of his head."This really is a big concern.
