Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds have today (April 29) welcomed a baby boy. The new mum gave birth in a London hospital and both she and the little one are said to be doing very well.

A spokesman for the couple said: "The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning.

Both mother and baby are doing very well. "The PM and Ms Symonds would like to thank the fantastic NHS maternity team." Their happy news comes after a rather dark month as the county battles the coronavirus pandemic.

The pair officially confirmed their relationship in June last year, but rumours of their closeness began swirling in September 2018, after Mr.
