Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he feared he would not live to see his baby son born while he battled the coronavirus in hospital.

In a frank interview, Mr Johnson revealed he could not see the path to recovery and that he would never see Wilfred and wife-to-be Carrie Symonds.

He continued to tell The Sun: “Well, yes of course. We’ve all got a lot to live for, a lot to do and I won’t hide it from you – I was thinking about that, yes.” The PM added: “I was deeply frustrated that I couldn’t see the path to…do you know what I mean?
