Turkish boxer Selim Ahmet Kemaloglu has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death in the chest with a kitchen knife during coronavirus lockdown.
Local Turkish media state that the 26-year-old was arrested on Sunday in the city of Muglu in the south-western Turkish province of the same name.
Kemaloglu reportedly called an ambulance to his house after his girlfriend Zeynep Senpinar, 25, had been stabbed in the chest with a bread knife.
The incident occurred during an argument in the flat which the couple were sharing throughout Turkey’s coronavirus lockdown.
