A young boy is in intensive care battling a rare disease thought to be linked to Covid-19. Six weeks after Logan Walsh got over a bout of the coronavirus he was diagnosed with Paediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (PIMS-TS.) The condition causes organs to fail, skin to blister and heart murmurs, Chronicle Live reported.
According to the Royal College of Child and Pediatric Health, PIMS_TS "is very rare and most children with the condition will not be seriously affected, in a very few cases it can be serious and even life-threatening." Mum Jessica Walsh, 43, and Logan, seven, both contracted Covid-19 in November, with Logan initially displaying no symptoms of either the virus or the syndrome.
