Bruno Fernandes has explained how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer convinced him to join Manchester United in a January transfer that proved in an instant success.

Fernandes had an immediate impact after joining United in a £50million switch from Sporting Lisbon, with Solskjaer's side still unbeaten since the midfielder signed.

The Red Devils were on an 11-game unbeaten run when the football season was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Fernandes having played in nine of those games and contributed three goals and four assists.

And now Fernandes has revealed the key role United boss Solskjaer played in bringing him to the Premier League. "Since the beginning I wanted to join Manchester United," said Fernandes in a Q&A with fans
