Manchester United need to add consistency and creativity if they are to challenge towards the top end of the Premier League next season.
That is the view of former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson, who has backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men to make the necessary improvements.
The Red Devils are way off runway league leaders Liverpool this season but were unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions before the coronavirus pandemic saw all football postponed.
Their recent improvements was in large part to new signing Bruno Fernandes, who joined from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.
