The absence of live televised football on a Saturday afternoon in the UK could be ended by fixtures broadcast from the German Bundesliga.
Not since the 1960s have matches played between the hours of 2:45pm and 5:15pm been shown on television due to the imposed 'blackout' ban.
But following the FA's successful request to UEFA to have the restriction lifted amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Bundesliga could be the first action hitting our screens during lockdown.
German football is expected to be the first to get back underway, with Bundesliga chiefs aiming to resume matches behind closed doors from May 9.
