Kym Marsh has offered a rare voice of support to Victoria Beckham, who sparked controversy by using the government scheme to furlough staff at her fashion company during the coroinavirus crisis.
Victoria - who together with husband David Beckham is worth an estimated £335million - was widely criticised for the move with celebrities including Piers Morgan raging she should have used her own fortune to pay staff.
Speaking in her column for OK!, former Corrie star Kym stuck up for the Spice Girl and said Victoria is entitled to use the scheme as she is a UK taxpayer herself. "The government scheme is there for business owners and there are plenty of other people doing it too.
