A brave 101-year-old woman will speed along Scotland's longest zip line to raise money for the NHS. Margaret McConchie will be taking on the Laggan Outdoor zip wire in Dumfries and Galloway in a tribute to key workers on the front line of the coronavirus fight.

The bold Laggan great-granny of 12, who just turned 101 on Friday, will don red lipstick as she zooms at 60mph speeds on the 1km line that overlooks the Solway horizon.

It was initially hoped that Margaret would raise £1919 for NHS Charities Together after the year of her birth - but she has smashed that target in a matter of hours.
