Key workers across the region are set to receive some special hand-made treats.Gillian Warden was left with a counter full of chocolates after she was forced to close In House Chocolates in Castle Douglas on Monday afternoon due to the coronavirus.Rather than throw away her products, she put out an appeal on Facebook for the best way to distribute them - and was inundated with replies.Gillian said: “The response has been unbelievable and it was mainly from people I knew, not just people saying that they would like free chocolates!“They’ll be going to the NHS but they’ll also be going to care homes, carers and home carers, who sometimes are forgotten about.
