Children will talk about issues that have emerged for them during lockdown and about the importance of children's rights at an online event today.
The Child Talks event, from the TED Talk series, is dedicated to children and young people. Children's Ombudsman Dr Niall Muldoon said the event gives a unique voice to young people's inspiring stories and issues they feel concerned about during the pandemic to date.
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Dr Muldoon said the Child Talks event got a huge response this year and children involved adjusted to it being held online with "resilience and character".
