Spanish cops have launched an investigation after a priest reportedly broke his country’s lockdown rules to pray the killer coronavirus away.
Priest Alfredo Beltran was reportedly taken to the square in front of the Ermita de San Juan church in Alicante county in southeastern Spain.
Video showed him being escorted by Spanish civil guard officers with the consent of the Mayor of Alicante, Laura Estevan. In the clip, the priest can be seen holding up religious relics of the local figure, Saint Blas, as he faces the houses in the square as church bells ring out.
