Christopher Maloney has recorded a special thank you song for the NHS as they battle the coronavirus pandemic, after they saved his own life.
The X Factor star, 42, almost died in January when he was struck with E. coli after eating some dodgy crispy duck pancakes. After almost two weeks in hospital, he knows just how hard NHS doctors and nurses work to keep their patients alive.
The singer has recorded his own version of The Rose and put together a video of file footage and pictures from his own hospital stay to say thank you in his own way.
Chris is also grateful for the way the NHS cared for his grandmother Pat in her final days. He told Mirror Online: "All the fabulous NHS at Aintree Hospital helped with my late grandmother's care
