A plane carrying vital medical supplies has crashed near an airport in Argentina with local reports claiming there were several passengers on board.

It has been reported there were at least four members on board, when it crashed near the Esquel Airport, in the Chubut province of Argentina.

Firefighters and Police rushed to the scene to tackle the huge blaze left by the crash which has left no survivors. Some reports suggest the plane was carrying a patient from Santa Fe and crashed when it was close to landing in Esquel in the middle of an intense fog which caused reduced visibility.
