The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India surged to 4,281 on Monday, according to Union Health Ministry. The number of fresh cases increased by 214, from the earlier data which recorded 4,067 positive Covid-19 cases.
The death toll has increased to 111, while 318 patients have been discharged or recovered from the highly contagious disease.
One has migrated to another country, the ministry said. Out of the total confirmed Covid-19 cases, 66 are foreign nationals.
The total number of active Covid-19 cases rose to 3,851 with Maharashtra being the worst-hit with 748 cases and 45 deaths followed by Tamil Nadu (571) and Delhi (523).
