Coronation Street viewers will be doing a double take next week when they see Dev Alahan’s son Aadi. A different actor has taken over the role of Aadi after Zennon Ditchett, who has played Aadi since 2009, made the decision to leave the show to focus on his A Level Studies at the end of last year.

Fourteen-year-old Aadi will now be played by Manchester actor Adam Hussain. Adam will appear in the role from Wednesday April 15 alongside Tanisha Gorey who plays his twin Asha.

Adam joins the show as the Alahan twins find themselves at the centre of a hard-hitting new storyline exploring the devastating harm caused by sexting.
