Coronation Street actor Andy Whyment has warned that the ITV soap could go off air for the first time in its 60-year history as it runs out of episodes.
The Manchester-based soap was forced to suspend filming last month following government guidelines regarding the COVID-19 outbreak.
ITV slashed the number of Corrie episodes a week in half from six to three in order to extend the time it can stay on air. But Andy, who plays lovable Kirk Sutherland, has said that the pre-recorded episodes will last until July.
