Police in Ayrshire have arrested seven individuals flouting new coronavirus rules. Across the region, cops handed out 152 fixed penalty notices under new legislation between Friday, March 27 and Thursday, April 23.Fines were issued to those ignoring new regulations on social distancing designed to save lives and protect the NHS during the coronavirus outbreak.Across Ayrshire 243 people were also dispersed after being informed by officers.
And a further 116 people were instructed to go home by police.A total of 22 people in the region - the highest in Scotland - were returned home using reasonable force.Police Scotland issued 1637 fixed penalty notices and made 78 arrests across the whole of Scotland during the same period.DCC Graham,
