Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA  (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Coronavirus: Boris Johnson to call Donald Trump and the Queen but still not back at work

Boris Johnson is set to have his first audience with the Queen for three weeks, as he continues to recover from coronavirus.

The PM is also expected to speak on the phone with Donald Trump on the phone later today. But Number 10 say he's not "formally doing Government work" but is getting daily updates from Downing Street on the coronavirus response.

First Secretary Dominic Raab continues to deputise for the PM, and will be taking Prime Minister's Questions tomorrow. The PM is expected to speak to the US President at about 2pm today.

The Prime Minister's official spokesman said Mr Johnson will use the call to thank President Trump for "the messages of support that he sent to the Prime Minister." Mr Johnson's audience with the Queen is
