Piers Morgan has hit back at "fake news" claims that Donald Trump has unfollowed him on Twitter. The controversial TV host swiftly responded to fans who had bombarded him with tweets insisting the US president no longer follows Piers.
But it wasn't long after that the GMB star decided to set the record straight, branding the series of tweets as "fake news".
One tweet read: "Trump has unfollowed @piersmorgan love it". "He's blocked him just checked!" another cheeky fan penned. Piers shared the tweet on his profile, and shutting down the false claims he added: "Fake news." After his quick response, one follower proved that Trump was still following Piers, who is an avid supporter and good friend of the president.
