Incredible care home workers are sleeping in tents to protect their residents from catching the coronavirus. A dozen dedicated staff at Pilgrim Wood home near Guildford, Surrey, will spend the night outside for the next four weeks to stay completely isolated from society.

They hope it will stop their residents - many of whom are elderly and vulnerable, or suffer conditions such as dementia - from getting Covid-19.

Although the UK's coronavirus outbreak is thought to have peaked, there remains a crisis in care homes, which have seen thousands of deaths in recent weeks.
