PGA Tour chief executive Seth Waugh has revealed that talks over a ‘behind closed doors’ Ryder Cup had already taken place with plans scheduled for September.
Despite European captain Padraig Harrington previously claiming that the event would not be going ahead if fans are unable to attend, it appears organisers have other ideas.
It was announced last week that play could resume as early as June following the recent suspension, with Waugh’s latest update hinting that supporters will be banned from attending Whistling Straits later this year.
He told WFAN Radio: “We have begun to talk about whether you could create some virtual fan experience. We are going to try to be as creative as we can.” The virtual experience could see VR camera
